This song represents the very core of our faith. It’s the precious blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on the cross on Calvary for the sins of the world - for you and for me. Each drop of blood was sacrificially given and allows us direct access to the Throne of God, where we can have a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus. It offers salvation to the lost and healing to the wounded.

There’s a line in the song that speaks to me every time I hear it:

I stand amazed by Your favor

Oh what a grace, my Blessed Savior

I was raised in a christian home and went to church every time the doors were open. I accepted Christ when I was six years old, however, there was a time in my life, when I was in high school, that I chose to do things my way instead of His. I was “playing church”. I knew all of the right things to say and the right things to do, but I didn’t have a relationship with Jesus. I believed the lie that I was missing out on something if I surrendered all of my life to Christ. Thankfully, God’s love kept calling me back and my relationship with Him grew deeper each day. When I think of God’s grace for me, I am amazed by His immense love. Not only His ability to forgive my mistakes, but also to forget them. The fact that God sees me as completely whole and pours out favor on me, regardless of my shortcomings, is a feeling that’s completely overwhelming. His love for me is the sweetest of loves.

O The Blood of Jesus is enough

1 John 1:7 NIV

“But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”

Death has no hold on me

I come alive within Your love

We serve a Victory God

He’s made a way where there was none

O the blood of Jesus is enough

Yes, the blood of Jesus is for us

I stand amazed by Your favor

O what a grace, my Blessed Savior

Your glory goes before

And shines a light for all to see

Now in Your grace, I stand

The blood of Jesus covers me

I think on Calvary

My mind upon Your cross

Understanding what You’ve done

How You came to save the lost

You tore the veil in half

You conquered sin and shame

All the glory to Your Name

My King of Calvary

The Lion and the Lamb

You set the captives free

And I will lift my hands

Your love has made a way

From sin to Heaven’s fame

You’re forever to be praised
